On June 14th, Trump is throwing himself a military parade for his 79th Birthday, with our tax dollars. As tanks roll down Constitution Avenue in the capitol, there will be over 1,500 “No Kings” protest events across the nation. Join us in New Orleans for a Counter-Parade! Let’s show the bullies in D.C. how it’s done.

Open up that costume truck, make a new protest sign and bring your sassy, satirical, snarky best to mock the man who would be king! 

GATHER – 9:00am at Mandeville and Decatur (in the open field on the 2400 block of Decatur.)
LINE UP – 9:30am. 
START – 10am. 
ROUTE – We will roll in a loop through the Marigny before crossing Elysian Fields to go down Frenchman street and END with a rally in Washington Square park.

How To Participate

Our No Kings event is intended to be a hybrid of New Orleans cultural traditions and protest march tactics. As such, you have options for how to participate and there are no wrong answers.

  1. Come as your fabulous self and second line with us. Do what you are comfortable with and feels appropriate to you. This can range from plain clothes and a protest sign, to up full Mardi Gras regalia.

  2. Sign up a pre-existing organization, social aid and pleasure club, dance krewe, mardi gras krewe, etc… OR gather a new group and make a “sub-krewe” for the day.  The deadline to register a sub-krewe is end of day 6/12.

  3. Not up for the march? Dust off your jazzfest chairs and come cheer us on! Pick a spot along the parade route, or meet us for the final stretch down Frenchman and join the rally at Washington Square Park.

How To Help

Indivisible NOLA is an all volunteer organization. As with our HandsOff mobilization on 4/5, we are asking the community to chip in for No Kings NOLA. Money raised will help us cover permitting and security fees, supplies and compensation for live local bands.
